Does clumsiness run in the family? Can you inherit clumsiness from a parent?

By nature, I'm a very clumsy person. When I was growing up, there wasn't one day that I didn't accidentally run myself into a wall, coffee table of step. And, I had the black and blue knees and shins to prove my clumsiness. And, I wasn't too good at regular kid sports like bike riding or tumbling. That was a disaster.
When I was a kid, if there were a way to get a cut, bump or bruise I'd find it. For some reason, I have always been super clumsy. And, I've noticed that my kid is the same way. Or, at least sometimes. And, sometimes I worry that she has inherited my clumsiness gene. Do you think that's possible? Do you think that you can inherit clumsiness from a parent?

I'm pretty clumsy. My son is still little for me to know if he is or not. He's only been walking for a few months, so that might be why he falls down.
My dad is really clumsy, though. He's been in the hospital often enough, that as a child, I thought it was normal for the hospital staff to know little kids' names. lol We were always there. It was a rare occasion for my dad to go a whole year without stitches or a cast. Part of it was probably because of his occupation, but part of it was also just that he is clumsy. I am pretty clumsy, and have had a few of my own occupational injuries, but nothing compared to my dad!
I hope my son turns out to be even less clumsy than me. I don't know what I will do if he turns out as bad as my dad!
