Ended up in the Emergency Room yesterday...

Everything is okay..I had neck and chest pain so I thought I better go just to be on the safe side. They put an I.V. in my arm and took blood, and all that good stuff. They even gave me oxygen. My heart rate kept dropping below 50. Normal is 60 to 100. They gave me a nitroglycerin pill under my tongue and four baby aspirin to chew up. Later on I was still having a little pain so they slapped a Nitro patch on my arm.
I had a regular appointment today and my blood pressure was only 98/60. My doctor recommends a Stress Test. That will take place on the 12th of September. So I will let you know. I am going to have a MRI on my neck because it has been going numb, tingling, and it feels like it is burning..

My good friend, what are we going to do with you, huh? So sorry to hear you're not well, but glad you went and got it checked out. Really is best not to take chances with chest pain. I hope the doctors get to the bottom of it sooner rather than later, and that it is nothing too serious. Good luck with it all, my thoughts are with you!

I have been going to bed at 10 pm. Can't seem to stay up any longer and I get up in the morning about 7 or 8..I don't sit here the whole time because I just can't..I was in pain the minute I got up this morning...I hate pain pills and they don't seem to be working anyway so I am not going to take them..I go lie on the couch during the day..I don't take a nap because then I won't be able to sleep at night..You are such a wonderful person and thank you for all your tips and for caring about me...

Thank you muscare..I am okay. I seem to be tired and I have been getting dizzy too! I try to stay seated as long as I can. I tried to get a blood pressure and I can't get one on my upper arm. Must be too low or something...Thank you for thinking about me.

Which Stress test are they going to do?
and I will put you in my prayers for this is something ya have to do for yourself and grand kids
Am hoping tho that every thing turns out just fine for you go positive that nothing will show up but maybe a pinched nerve! hugs and blessings

Now I am wondering is that where they give ya the shot?
for thats what they did to me for I wouldnt have been able to walk on the walk wayt with my knee for it coud have swollen up on me and I wouldnt have got anywhere with that one lol . your welcome for prayer still thinking of you blessings to you and yours

Thank you Terry. I do get numbness in my neck and down my arm. I get the tingling feeling there as well. My heart tests come out okay but he still wants me to have a stress test. I was having discomfort for awhile and just recently, like a week or so now I get the tingling, numb, burning feeling in my neck. I have also been having dizzy spells for over a year now. I hope they don't find anything but it will be nice if they do so I at least know what is going on.

Oh my Gosh talk about give me a heartattack :( that sounds scarey what you're going through and you are in my prayers my friend. Please take it easy and have your hubby do all the typing and you can relax and just relay the discussions to him for mylot until you feel a little better. Keep us up to date with the tests my friend. HUGSSS

You are so funny!! Thank you so much for your prayers..I don't know what it is but I hope they find out. My neck keeps going numb. I wish the tests were sooner but I guess it will be okay..I have been having dizzy spells today too!

Thank you. I was trying to get a blood pressure reading with a digital monitor but it won't register...I have been trying forever...I can get one on the lower half of my arm but not the top...

I am going to have an MRI on my neck on the 12th. I do have pain in my left lower Lumbar area all the time..I don't think it is connected to the upper half of my body though...I can't get a BP reading on my left upper arm either...Will let you know.

That sounds like some sort of pinched nerve or disc to me. Have you had them xray your back? Sometimes things like that occur in one place of the body and are felt at another but the neck and back are so connected that it's common for that to happen. I hope it turns out to be nothing serious and that they figure out a way to get you better again!

Oh boy, so thats the deal...
Uh, of course I'm no doctor but I'll share with you what I do know. I'd definitely keep the B vitamin intake up, and I mean up. All of the B vitamins not just B12. It almost sounds like part of it is a cardiovascular problem (heart and blood vessels) and another part is nervous system deficiency. Again, more reasons to keep the B vitamins up along with other nutrients. I hope it gets better for you Feona.
Currently I'm dealing with neck and back pain but its very minor. Its more stress based and nothing too serious. But I'm currently taking calcium and B vitamins nourish the bones and systems. Also to get body fluids less acidic.

I do think I'm going to have to up the B12 and B vitamins. I am very anemic as it is so this isn't helping. I was reading about how a B12 defiency can lead to cardio and nervous system problems..I take calcium and iron. My doctor did say that I am not a good candidate for the oral B12 as my cells are not that good. He is taking blood work on my B12 and cholesterol..
My neck is okay when I lie down but as soon as I get up it goes tingling and numb and I have a burning sensation, and this continues all through out the day as long as I am sitting or standing. I am really dizzy and when I stand I darn near pass out...I will keep you posted. Thank you so much for your input..

Sorry, I wanted to tell you how sorry I am that you are not feeling well. Stress can be terrible...The only thing I think I am stressing over is the pain and all and how the test will come out...good luck to you.

Thank you. It really is scary right now. I can't wait for the test to tell me if everything is going to be alright. A pain pill doesn't even help it. Thank you for all your prayers.

I am happy that you went to have yourself checked out, Feona. We can never be too careful when it comes to matters of our health. Hopefully your tests will come back showing no significant problems. I will be praying for your well-being.

Hey chickie. What the heck is going on with you? My SIL had just the opposite problem a couple of months ago. She nearly flatlined. Keep us posted as to the results of your MRI.

I couldn't believe it either. I went to get my blood drawn because I needed to for the appointment I had today, and on the way home I got this horrible pain in my neck and chest. I was going to go home and lay down but I thought I better go have it checked. I am going to have a stress test and then an MRI for my neck...Thank you.

In my opinion, your blood pressure appears rather low. Together with the low heart beat and the numbness, I would think it is a real concern. However, I am not a doctor and cannot advise you what to do. I can only give you my blessings. Would suggest you take your BP and heart count readings daily and go to the doctor immediately if you feel sudden increase in heart beat. Take care, friend.

Sorry to hear you were feeling bad! It is always best to have a complete check-up when you have chest pain, so you were in the best possible hands! I know everything will turn out ok! Nitro what a headache, lol!!!! Take care of yourself, you will be in my thoughts!
