Who was the last person who hung up on YOU?

Hi everybody, As a lot of you know, I had a big problem with my sister last week. This isn't asking for anyone to go find out what happened though. The question doesn't just relate to my sister. : ) Today my sister called my parent's house, as she has done since the incident. The two times when I answered the phone, she coldly demands, "Mother." Indicating she doesn't want to talk to me, she wants to speak only to my mom. By the way, we don't call our mom, mother. My sister uses that name when she is upset. So this afternoon my mom had to drop my dad off to pick up his car. My dad was already in the car, my mom was standing on the front porch, and the phone rang. I looked at their caller ID, and said, it's Mindy (my sister). My mom asked me to ask her if it was an emergency, or else she just wanted to call Mindy back. I answered the phone (my mom was standing on the porch with the door open, so she heard everything I said) and Mindy said, "Mother." So I said in a very friendly voice, "She's getting ready to leave and is outside (she was on the porch outside), can she call you back, or is this an emergency and you want me to go get her?" Click. Yep, she hung up on me. I was a little hurt, but more amused. I can't believe an adult woman would be like this. My mom was annoyed and just shook her head. So that is my hang up story. I want to know who was the last person who hung up on YOU? Did it annoy you or did you not even care?

Oh I'm sure you don't hang up on people. But I thought if I asked who had hung up on us, I'd get a better range of answers. I actually thought someone would answer a telemarkter. I just thought someone might annoyed a telemarketer enough that this time THEY did the hanging up. My mom sent me an e-mail a little bit ago. All my sister wanted was to talk to my mom because she was bored.

The last person to hang up on me was my uncle. When my grandma was in the hospital he had called her and I answered the phone because she was asleep. When I told him she couldn't talk because she was sleeping he just hung up. Some people are so rude.

Oh, I remember you telling us about your uncle. He's what my Nana would call "a stinker."

I just need to find someone she won't hang up on to tell her that. : ) Good for you for hanging up on the ex. I'm sure they all deserve it, based on what they never got caught on. LOL

That would be "the lord of my youngest sons' cell phone". His girlfriend. I called to give him the insurance company's phone number, and policy number, after he wrecked his car(he was on our policy), and she grabbed the cell phone out of his hand, mid sentence, told me to f off, and hung up the phone. Needless to say, I was a bit shocked, and of course, he managed to get the phone, call me back and apologize, but that was a bit uncalled for. He had flipped the car, could have easily been killed, and she just wanted to act smart to me. Shows what a low life she is. He fell asleep at the wheel. He works 3rd shift.

Oh, now his girlfriend is making ME mad. And I have to admit, I'm a little miffed at your son on your behalf. It someone said that to my mom, I would have kicked their rear end to the moon! But with the stress of the relationship he is in, he probably doesn't even realize the impact of her actions. It sure would be nice if she were thrown in jail. She'd have to leave him alone.

I was a little miffed at him too, but, at the time, he had just gotten out of a car that had flipped a few times, he may not have been in his right mind at the time. lol Still, the fact that he's still with her, knowing how disrespectful she is, to his family, has me a little upset with him.

I barely talk on the phone, but if memory serves, it was my aunt (paternal side). I'm not on the best terms with them anyways so I don't really care. Might sound callous but you'd have to know the family to get it.

Sounds as though you and I have twin sisters! It also sounds as though we've been having the same kind of week. I find it hard to believe that grown women can act so childish, inconsiderate, and well downright rude! The thing that really blows my socks off is I know how she was raised, I was there...my mother woul turn over in her grave.

Exactly. I know how our household was, and she didn't get that attitude from my parents. I guess we love them anyway. : )

And your sister is supposed to be 28 years old....and she's acting like that? Geez! I've seen two year olds more mature than that! It's been a few years since I've had someone hang up on me in anger like that. One of the employees that caused me (assistant manager) and my boss quite a lot of problems, and when she would get upset she would go home and drink whiskey. And she was a very mean drunk! So she called the store, and when I answered the phone, out of the blue she snapped my head off for no reason and told me " I don't want to talk to you, b***h!". I was so mad that I told her that if she didn't knock it off she'd lose her job, and I'd make sure of it. Right after that she hung up on me. She called back twice more, hanging up on me the second time, and actually asking for the person she wanted the next time after telling me that she quit. She was bluffing, but I ended up calling her bluff and wrote out her termination papers and the boss signed them! It sure shocked her to get called in to get her last paycheck!

My Beloved was the latest one to hang up on me but I knew what his broblem was. He was frustrated because he hadn't seen me for six months and found it all quite unbearable when i said I was going to delay a week lol. I did totally understand hem even though it hurt. Of course I got an apology a couple of hours later. I am on very cold war relations with my sister in South Carolina...She has become very racist anf bigotted unfortunately and we just don't hardly talk because she always used to boss me around and she was always right. Now I am grown up and don't take much crap any more frompeople, we hardly talk it is very formal and that's it.

oh I hate this beahviour..It makes me furious and it is somethng I cannot stand!!! The last time it happened it was ...well ..it was a man.a man who I loved so deeply that I did everything for him..when he hung up..well it was the first of a series of awful thing he did and I started understanding how I was mistaken about him. I think it is an awful thing to do..very rude and vulgar. it means lack of good manners and of respect for another person's feelings..and well it makes me angry and once i did it myself in order to let him understand how it feels..oh he didn't like it!!!!

I can't remember the last person to hang up on me! I can remember people I've hung up on, including sales jerks, & my roomie's crazy aunt - right after I told her "Fat Chance" when she asked for her cat back.

That is childish, hanging up on you like that. Rude too. I got into a fight with a friend of mine once on the phone. I can't remember the details, but it was probably something real stupid. She hung up on me, and I was so mad at her, I wouldn't talk to her for a while after that.

I hope she apologized. Unfortunately, getting apologies for things like that doesn't come very soon. : )

She did eventually apologize, and I forgave her, but I've fought with her so many times over the years, that now I keep my distance. She gets out of control too much.

I can't remember. It is rude and if someone hung up on me - purposefully and maliciously I would just never take calls until they either learned to be more polite or - well never - family or not. Caller ID is great!

The last person to hang up on me was my mom. That was over a year ago, and we have talked everyday since. So yeah it doesn't happen very often but when it does it really hits home.

Your sister...I think she is very unusual. Maybe she acts like that because she really lacks true confidence. The last person who hung up on me was my aunt. She can be like your sister. I was hurt...but tried to consider the person involved.

It doesn't happen to me very often, so I have to really thing about this situation.I got it.It was actually my dad, who hung up on me.And the reason is really silly.I was talking to my mum on the phone for 30 minutes and then she handed phone to him.He talk and talk, but no longer then 10 minutes and my mum shout on him to not talk so long.So he just hang out.It was pretty wird, i have to admit. But I would got probably mad too.Poor dad.

I can't recall having anyone hang up on me i.e. slamming down the reciever becaused they were pissed off. I have been disconnected on many occasions. Which while annoy I don't put in the same catagory as being hung up on.
