Do you still respond to discussions from members that have already left My Lot?

Do you avoid discussions made by people who are no longer active on My Lot? Do you think discussions from inactive My Lot members should be removed to make room for newer discussions?
Awhile ago, I was surfing around to friend profiles and noticed that one of my favorite people had last logged in three months ago. So, I guess that means she is officially gone. Though perhaps, she simply took the summer off of My Lot and went on vacation and will be back later this year. That is my hope anyway.
But, I noticed that even though this other member had not actively posted any discussions in over three months, people were still responding to her previous discussions. So, I was wondering, do you ever respond to an old discussion, not realizing that the person who posted it, no longer comes to My Lot? Would it make a difference if you knew they wouldn't be back to answer your response? Would you post anyway?

Well, for me the most important criteria to responding to any discussion is the topic and the content of the discussion itself. I don't care what user started it, which interest it was started in or if the user is in my friend's list or not.
I respond to the discussion first, then if the user is not in my friend's list I add them up and only then can I see when was the last time they logged in.
But you never know, if they are really inactive or are gone for good. I mean some people could be on vacation, some people could have left since they were getting no responses, and they got discouraged, but if they turned e-mail notification on, then they might come back and you could be the reason why.
That's why I never think of if the person is still active or if they will come back, because I don't know if they wouldn't. It's worth a shot.

I don't really pay any attention to whether or not a person is still active on mylot. I don't usually look at people's profiles, unless I know that I saw a discussion of theirs that I wanted to look at. I don't even look at my own profile! :)
There are so many other people that could leave comments or benefit in some way from something someone says. I would keep that in mind if there was a discussion that I wanted to respond to, even if I knew that the person that started it might never come back to it.

I still go to their profile and check if they come back sometime. Lots of them I know come back after a while and some come back few times a week, so i can't tell they left. But if isee someone really left for long and log time i won't be interested to reply their discussion. But really found the people in my list come back often and also response to my discussion, so generally reply to them when they have a new thread
