Do you hate buying the same thing more than once?

I do not like having to buy the same thing twice, especially if I know it's only going to get messed up again so easily. What a waste of money! How about you? Do you ever buy the same thing more than once, because the original got misplaced or broken? How many times have you purchased the same thing before you just gave up and stopped buying it? This past year, my daughter asked for a deck of cards so I obliged and bought them for her. Trouble is, she's not old enough to know how to take care of them, so now they are scattered throughout the house. And, last week she wanted another deck of kids playing cards. So, instead of searching the house to find all the cards from the original set, I bought her a second set. During the past three years, we have owned six DVD players, totaling well over $200. And, somehow each one has been broken through mysterious forces. One was broken when my daughter lodged a crayon inside the DVD player. And, another one broke, because a disc slipped out of the player inside and when we took the top off to retrieve it, the DVD player just stopped working right. What a waste! How often do you spend money replacing things you have previously purchased?
