I'm currently a fulltime housewife/work at home mom ( work this part time). i've been doning this for about a year in half. I'm a housewife(day job), teacher, cleaning lady(maid), & chef. At night I'm a Customer Service Representative that I actually receive a pay check for. The reason why I perfer to stay at home is 1 its cheater I don't have to pay babysitter or afterschool programs, another thing is I have a lttle girl and its had for me to trust. Oh and I can't forget I don't have to pay for transportation for myself to go to work everyday. That is the reason why I choosen to be a stay at home mom housewife whatever you choose to call it.

You have a somehow different case you are working you are making money either by yourself or with your husband, if some could just try your style we should have lesser lazy women who knows how to spend money but not to work for it. I cherish your style.

Thank you so much you just really brought my spirits up with that response. But if you think about it alot of us women get comfortable with a certain lifestyle and so when its time to either change or just grow up to a different one we can. That is way alot of us get housewife, homemaker, etc. a bad name because there are alot that are lazy and there a lot of us that really do their part they don't have to have an income coming in but at least they can have the house clean food cook kids settled(better yet just organized)Anyway thank you again for that kind comment. God Bless. cause lord knows I try and I'm use to having my own money and other things without having to ask for it.

I am a full time house wife, stay at home mum. As much as i enjoy it, I do get bored sometimes and wish i could work. The main reason for not working, is there is no childcare in the town that i live in, so have to wait until my children go to school. And of course that's a few years off.

Hello whats up.Well its okay but just to get less bored you can just try your hand on some few things, like try to see a need or needs of some people in your area and try to meet it (although you might need to make more physical friends) and you will make some money and few customer friends. Mind you you have not respond to my disscussion which you trigger of (lol).

I really could do either really. I mean, as long as it was understood that I would not clean the house every day, all day until the house was spotless and what not. I mean, I'd have to reach a compromise with my partner about what I would do and what I would not do and how often it would be done. However, in today's society, actually having one person stay home while the other works is quite a hard task unless one partner really makes a lot of money.

Maybe you are talking of a negotiation between you and your husband if he actually wants you to stay at home to be a full time house wife. As you said in todays society he must be RICH, or must be a government worker and he is syphoning money very well probably from any African country!

As for my opinion its okay for me to work full time but when i have kids already i prefer not to work anymore so that i can have time for my kids guiding them while growing up.

Its when your kids are growing that you will need money if you will want to take care of them from my own oppinion. Althogh i dont know the country you are from mabe you have a policy that take care of your kids up to 18 yrs!(lol). Working will not dissallow you from taking good care of your kids.

Hi davido! I have been managing two businesses of my own before I got married. However, when I did get married I have to give it all up because we were having difficulty in my pregnancy and so upon the advise of my ob gynecologist and infertility doctor, I became a full time housewife so I can just rest. However, during the years of being in the house I got bored and I missed earning my own money and so I did some crafts that I have been supplying to selected stores. So, I guess that even I am a plain housewife now, I still am earning a little for my own fulfillment and satisfaction without sacrificing much time for my family and my health. Take care and have a nice day.

My dear Faith210, in fact you are a really restless business woman! and i like that because i am also restless when it comes to doing something for yourself and having some money. If you could keep two business and you were told to stay put i knowit will be so hard on you but here you made something out of it. I like that. I wish you good health, my wife too is in the same position but i know it will soon be over, she will soon put to bed safely. Bye.
