Usually I look for the most interesting discussions, and if I make a post, I add that friend. I also post deep discussions, and the people that respond become my friends. The only time I discard a friend is when they either make repeated posts that I cannot understand, or when all their discussions tend to be negative.

Yeah an easy question and need short answer from me. My "stupid" perception is the whole lot of members to myLot is my friend. Some has rated me with negative on their discussion because I against their standing. And I replied "thank you". Will never discard the others. Because they should understand that this is an open discussion. Anybody can freely has and put say with their own mind speaking. Positive answer make me feeling good, and negative answer make me more stronger because I need no flame as I am already the active burning fire. And I firmly belief that one day she or she will request to be my friend. You know why? I always put my answer in very sincere input, just take it or leave it and no for 50-50.

It seems that there are a lot of people coming and going here that it is hard to know who is of substance and who is here just for a quick answer.
I think if you read some of a person's responses, you come to learn quickly if a person is of substance or not.
Becoming friends with that person is a whole other matter. :)

If a freind never has any discussions that I can answer (or that I am interested in) then I may go ahead and deleat them. But if they occasionally answer mine, then I';; keep them around for that. But I'm not looking for deep meaningful relationships here, just people to chat with. So I'm not so concerend with looking for substance. People have it, some just don't show it as much. So should I feel special that I'm still your friend?!?!
