Lord of the Ring

I read the books back when I was ten. I loved them, the movies were just as good, I wasn't disappointed at all.

I've read the series several times too, and its really good. In fact, they're the best books I've read. Maybe u should try thirteenth's suggestion.. just skip those parts. Although you might miss some important parts of the story.

Yep, I read every book, including the Hobbit. I read it in high school, it was a requirement back then. A few years ago I purchased the whole Lord of The Ring set and read it through, starting with the Hobbit on down. As good as the movie? Yes, some boring parts but for the most part, it was a good read. I read it first then ordered the movies. It really helped in understanding the movies. I enjoyed it all. :)
