If you had to choose, would you be a star or a planet?

If you were a celestial body, what would you be? Would you choose to be a planet or meteorite tearing through the galaxy? Would you be a star burning bright in the night skies? Or, would you be the sun?
Maybe I would choose to be a lucky star, so people would see me flickering in the night sky and make wishes upon me.
I don't like the idea of being a planet and having people live on my surface. I'm sure I would get really fed up with them and cause all kinds of earth quakes and volcano eruptions to show my displeasure with how my planetary inhabitants were treating me.
However, thinking about it now, I do like the idea of being in one spot and having a family. So, maybe I would choose to be a planet after all, because my inhabitants would be like my little children and I would be their mother.
So, what about you? Would you be a star or planet?

I would choose to be a shooting star.I would get bored staying in one spot all the time.I wouldn't want to be a planet either bcse of the same reasons that you said.It would be a hard job to be Mother Earth.I think it's cool that you would consider taking on that challenge if you had to choose to be a star or a planet.

Thank you for saying so. I guess my life currently is like being a planet, being a mom and all. And, before my life was like being a shooting star, because I moved around all the time and enjoyed life to the fullest. I am planted in the ground now with mile deep roots.

I would be a rogue asteroid roaming the universe, seeing the sites, scaring the bejeebers out of planetary inhabitants as I pass by and wave hello/goodbye .. LOL!

It is an interesting topic. Well, I would rather be a planet to support people to live on my surface. I would stop any earthquakes to make all living creatures live peacefully. I will show my displeasure to humans by offering them some signs to show my feeling of displeasure if I feel ruined and polluted by them. I would like humans and all the other creatures live in harmony with the nature...

I would rather be a planet. That way I could attract stuff to me with my "orbit", and feel like a queen. ha..that was silly.

I'd be a star. I don't want to sit in a fixed place in space. Sure they do move and evolve, but stars just go anywhere if they want to. And on earth, I look sometimes like I am winking at humans. As a star, I can sit around and mock the planets. I could tell them they look like they put on a few pounds, or I can mock Pluto for not be classed as a planet anymore. As a star I sympathize, but every opportunity to tease, I must take. : )

It's nice to be a star but I prefer to be a sun. Int the first place, I can help living things coz they may need me; I am sure of that.LOL Second, I don't want some little things tikling around me which in case the living things. I want them to feel me even when I'm far from them. :)
In real person, I am like that too. I do love people especially my friends to feel that I am just around if they need me even if I am far enough. I like to be near with my loves even if I am miles away...somekind of broad right?LOL Yet nowadays, nothing is impossible. :)

If I had to choose between star or planet, I'd be a star.
Capable of generating life, energy and light to several planets sounds pretty sweet. Plus I'm more powerful than thousands of atomic blasts! And after I've lived long, I expand and die bright! I also have the ability to generate yet ANOTHER star after I've gone nova. That or I could form nebula of bright colorful gases. Pretty sweet deal. I especially like the nebula part.
I could somewhat stand being a planet. But being a planet has its work too. Taking care of a plant and animal populous can be rough. Plus if the formation is off, the planet looks kinda bulgy! Continental weight and orbit also contribute to this.
