How do you get rid of those tiny little gnats in your house?

A month or so ago we had eaten watermelon in our house. I asked my husband to take the rinds out. And of course he said he would and like usual he waited for days before he did it. Now normally I would have just taken them out myself but due to my condition at the time I could not. Anyway, after a day or so I noticed these teeny tiny little gnats that were on the watermelon and flying around it and on the counter beside it. After he had taken the watermelon out the gnats were still there. It has been well over a month and they are still in my house. They are on the counters, on the curtains in the kitchen and a few have even migrated to the bathroom in my bedroom. How do I get rid of these irritating little things? They are very tiny and hard to see but they really irritate me. I have tried everything to get rid of them from fly swatters to bug spray. Help! How do I get them out of my house before I go crazy?

I think you should have a clean all around your house! Maybe you can try the water in which the sap of allium is added. The best way is you never let the rinds stay overnight. Best wishs to you!

My house is clean. If only my husband would have taken the watermelon out when I asked him to.

I use a small bowl filled with water and vinegar.....cover the bowl with saran wrap and poke small holes in the top with a fork....the gnats enter the bowl to get the sweetness of the vinegar but can't get out.....this works with fleas as well
