If her temperature is more than slightly elevated, call the doctor's answering service and they will call you back.
Make sure she has lots of fluids and check her for rashes or irritability. Keep her cool but not cold if she has a high fever.
Lots of times, babies get ear infections that start with a fever but you can never be too cautious. I would just call the doctor's office and ask for a call back. If they don't have that service, call the hospital and ask what they think.
Babies are tough but can be fragile as well and fevers mean something is going on that shouldn't be.

does she have any other symptoms other than fever? is she listless and/or floppy, are there any strange rashes that have appeared?
Take her to your doctor straight away is my advice. No matter what the cause of your baby's fever, It's always better to be safe than sorry and your doctor will be able to sort out whatever problem she has very quickly.

oh and I have to ask, why in the heck are you asking a bunch of strangers on the internet? I know that it seems like a good idea (or probably does) but if it were me, I would be down at my doctors so fast i wouldnt have time to think.

Ok I can see how that would eb a problem lol. Do you have an emergency room nearby? or someone who could take you there?
I'm sure they get mothers in the emergency room all the time when the doctors are closed so you wouldnt have to be embarrassed and im sure they would rather you turned up there instead of being stuck at home wondering what on earth is wrong with your baby. Keep me updated on this please :)
