Hi. This is my question for you. How much does it take to you to fall asleep after you are going to bed ? For me, I need about 30 to 60 minutes to fall asleep, and I think this is too much, but that's me... what about you ?

Hello! Before, I used to fall asleep just after going to bed. But now it takes 20-30 minutes or more for me to fall asleep because I just recall what I did whole day and I think about what important things I have to do next day. vani ^_^

Yes, I am doing the same thing and maybe that's why I fall asleep so hard...

I already take enough seretonin,The only way I can fall asleep these days is to try and sleep on my stomach.Of course I always end up on my back in the morning.I think it's because I get so much back pain.

Usually by the time I fall into bed, I am asleep before I know it. Lately though, my head won't shut up and I think and think and it makes me crazy. I tpss and turn and eventually fall asleep then dream about what I was thinking about. Apparently, I am stressed and have things on my mind that come out when I am alone and trying to or am asleep. Usually I just fall asleep win a few minutes though because I don't go to bed until very, very late and I am exhausted.

It depends on what kind of day i've had to be hontes. If i've had a bad day, it can take up to three hours for me to fall asleep because I will go over every little thing in my head until i've resolved it to my satisfaction. If I'm excited about the coming day then it's not uncommon for me to stay awake all night and then pay for it later lol If I've had a good day then I can fall asleep within half an hour

that should have been 'honest' not 'hontes' lol I got visited by the finger fart fairy, she's been very active with me today XD

It generally takes me about 30 to 60 minutes, and I agree, it seems excessive (especially so when I consider my father, who falls asleep virtually seconds after his head hits the pillow). Since there is little exception to this, I consider it normal for me, and have learned to just accept it and use the time to fantasize or "daydream." Once in a awhile I will have insomnia, usually lasting for three to to as much as five days in extreme cases. I have found that I also am aware in advance when I will have insomnia; it is a rather inexplicable sensation: I just "know" that I will not sleep that night (one might speculate that this thought is what causes the insomnia). I have found that, though not a solution, drinking hot chocolate soon before bed relaxes me, at least partially eliminating stress as a possible cause of lack of sleep.

I should add, however, I have found a room on the cooler side (65F or less and relatively dry) to ease the ability to fall asleep markedly, as it encourages the use of blankets which bring with them a certain sense of security or perhaps just comfort. I have found some others seem to prefer a warm room as well as the blankets which seems alien to me.

It depends on how tired I am or on how much time I've been awake. Sometimes I fall asleep right away and sometimes I roll in bed for an hour.

It depends on the night. If I'm very tired I can be out within just a couple minutes. If I'm only sort of tired then it could take up to half an hour. If I'm not tired at all it's very unlikely I'll fall asleep lol. Generally speaking though it takes about 5-20 minutes..not too bad.

that is 30 minutes to 1 hr :) that's nothing when i got insomnia back in few ago. i start to sleep at 11pm and i was lucky to get asleep at 4am in the morning. that was so hard for me to take. good thing i made to surpass it and now i can sleep whenever i feel like it.

I've heard that 30 minutes is roughly average, so you're probably okay if it's only taking 30 to 60 minutes to fall asleep. It almost always takes me a minimum of 1 hour, even when I'm severely under-rested. I have to be super duper exhausted to drop off in less time than that. I average between 1 to 3 hours before finally drifting off. I've been like this pretty much my whole life too. Drove my poor mum nuts when I was little. ;)

Anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour... Its rather bothersome at times. And yes if it takes too long to go to sleep I just skip it.

That is what I do also. If I can't fall asleep within a half hour or so, I jsut get up and do something else and forgo sleep that night.

It takes me from 30 to 60 minutes, too. There are so many things from all the day on my mind when I go to bad that I can't fall asleep imidiately. Well, I guess it would take 5 minutes if I were exhausted but that's rarely to happend and I don't think that it's the best way to solve problems with falling asleep;)

I do not need much time to fall asleep, especially if I really have a busy day. Probably the longest time to fall asleep is around 15 - 20 minutes for me. Only when I have a problem with something in my life which is not often happen by the way, then I need more time to fall a sleep.

If I'm really tired it will just takes me about 20 minutes to fall asleep. Usually, I feel sleepy at night and then I will lay in bed and try to fall asleep. I thought I will be able to immediately do it but somewhow I don't feel sleepy anymore and then it will take about 30 minutes to 60 minutes or even more for me to fall asleep.
