hello mylotters this may have happened with you or if not then might happen someday.its just a situation that can't be ruled out if you work for somebody.recently i faced this situation at my workplace and i was about to quit the job.but due to my colleagues i didn't.i just want to know your views on this issue.will you express it if you feel that your boss is taking the wrong decision?will you insist your boss to do the way you want it to be so that the work would be better? will you mind defying your boss or will you rather give it up?

Well I would certainly not insist, because we can't exactly be sure what else the boss has planned, but I will tell him, hey, what do you think of this alternative? Then explain to him why it's a good idea.

It depends on what the opposing views were about. The only views that are important to me are my own personal views, which should not matter in your job, or a view that personally affects me. Unless it's one of those two, I don't usually care that much. I have left jobs for things that affected me directly, but not for things that don't.

If the boss was being unethical, I would contact whoever was in charge of them. If it was just a vast array of different opinions, I'd try my best to gracefully tell the boss my input, explain the pros and cons, why I feel the way I do, and then ultimately let it rest with the boss. All a person can do is say their piece. But once again, if it is ethically wrong, I would do all I could to solve the situation peacefully, but still try to put a stop to those unethical actions.

yeah AmbiePam thats the only solution you can have for such situation.just explain it out to him gracefully.but if he is a stubborn one like mine then its actually useless.its always the boss who have the say.

I stand up for my principles and if my boss asked me to do anything wrong or hurt anyone I would most certainly defy him/her.
