If anyone came to me and asked for my help, I would help them in any way I could. Having AIDS isn't something that changes my opinion of people. There are very few people that I wouldn't help, and those are people who have committed specific crimes that I see as unforgiveable because of my own history. However, if asked for help from my Gods, I'm not sure what I could do for someone. I would pray, do healing rituals (or rituals for whatever they were looking for), cast protective or healing spells for them I suppose. I have journeyed into the Otherworld to gain information for people before, but since my religion isn't one people know well or think highly of, it's unlikely that I'm asked for anything in the name of my religion.

Let's use a small Christian analogy for the sake of simplicity. In the Christian Bible, one of the acts that Jesus was famous for was curing lepers. Back in those days, leprosy was similar to what AIDS is in today's context. However, unlike AIDS, Leprosy, is actually quite visible, you'd know a leper if one approached you. Most people who sensible ran away whenever the lepers came by. Let's leave aside the curing and mircile part but Jesus Christ was so wholy human that he actually went close to lepers and by doing this he showed his complete divinity. This is perhaps something worth thinking about when we think of AIDS patients and God.

Any person who would reject a person with aids is a person I would not wish to associate with. Any God who would reject a person with AIDS is a God that I would not worship. We should love everyone, especially those who need us the most. My God loves all of his children. I give to AIDS research. I deliver meals to shutins and aids patients are a great number of those shutins. I do what I can. I wish all of us would.
