I don't think batting first was such a bad decision. Time and again India's strength has been it's batting and it is always best to put your best foot forward in a finals situation. The problem though was that India did not bargain on the two wrong decisions that went England's way and dismissed two of India's most consistent batsmen in the series. Also, the return of Flintoff meant that England had a better balanced team than India and that showed off in the final analysis. Cheers! Ram

When the players or whether the batsmen cannot act then it doesn't matter whether you choose to bat frist or second. it again proved that when ever there is even a little bounce our greats and all the team fails to play on such surface and that is what happened. our players were not able to get runs from the short ball that they were bowled. and also the england team came out with a complete game plan instead of our team which looked like have lost in the very first over. they had no game plan. batting was a disastor and so was the bowling and fierlding. In the bowling they got a good start but they failed to capitalise on it. Our captain seems to be just waiting for the mistakes done by the opponent to get the wickets of instead of making a game plan to get the batsmen out and that is the reason why, the two players to support really and with ease and although the pitch later on was spending. But the main thing is stance is that there might be to capitalise on them they are not going to come directly to your and this is what our team failed to do.
