Your very favorite, gotta look fantastic mascara? I need it!

I have been through zillions of mascaras and can't find THE one that gives me length, volume, no clumps, and no flakes. I like long, full lashes and all the mascaras I have tried either don't lengthen enough or do but clump and look awful. I like Lancome mascaras and a few others (Blinc's Kiss Me Mascara is wicked different!) but what is your very favorite, gotta look spectacular mascara? Maybe it'll end up being mine! Thanks for any advice/tips/names.

I wish I had one. Truthfully I use Covergirl makeup more often than anything else. I think paying $6 just for makeup in walmart is ridiculous and I'd never buy really expensive stuff. I don't think i've ever found a good mascara myself. Which is sad, because i think mascara is an important piece of makeup. I'm all about the black eyeliner and black mascara! I've found spectacular eyeliners if you want to them, but i've always found pretty crappy mascaras!

I don't mind paying for good mascara if it IS good but so many are cruddy. I like Tarte's Lights! Camera! Lashes! and then again I like Maybelline's LashExact which is cheap but really good. A little clumpy though. Yeah! Tell me all your eyeliner secrets! I want to know what everyone uses. I have so many cosmetics and so many are just average. I want to get rid of them and have just a couple of favorites that work really well.

I've used lash exact I didn't like it. I don't know. I usually try something different almost every single time I go to the store to buy it. But i've never found a great one yet!

Correction: It's Cover Girl LashExact. I mix all my mascaras up these days.

I use Rimmel Extra Super Lash. It works well for me and I find it's the best value for the cost. It costs mosre than cheap brands like Wet'n'Wild but is cheaper than say...L'oreal.

I know Rimmel came out with a new mascara. I am not sure if that is the one. I like some Rimmel products. I don't think I ever tried their mascara. I will pick it up when I go shopping. I buy a lot of cosmetics and usually one out of them all is really good. I have to stop trying new things. I should stick with the best of what I have but I always want better, more, etc. Thanks for the reply!

I haven't used mascara in over a year! I think it is time to toss out the tube I have. It is most likely dried out by now. When I replace a tube it is usually an Avon product. I find most of the mascaras really good.

There is one Avon mascara I like. It has a weird brush that looks like a screw but it really works. The problem is it does clump a little. Otherwise, that is the best one they sell and I think it is called...SuperFULL. Good stuff. I should find that tube and use it. Talk about tossing stuff out, I have been going through all my stuff and tossing the old things and giving my sisters the newer stuff I never use. I really wasted a LOT of money on makeup and I rarely go anywhere! I am very casual and don't use too much yet I am lured by it. Just like I am with shoes. And everything else. lol. Thanks for the reply.

I like Dior DiorShow mascara. its perfect at thickening up lashes. It is a bit expensive but worth it.

Oh! I have that around here. It is a thick tube with Dior all over it. I need to find it. I remember it gave a lot of volume. There must have been a reason I kept buying more brands. Then again, I am kind of a cosmetic shopaholic. Thanks for reminding me of DiorShow. I will find it and give it another try.

I used to love Lancome's mascaras but I thought it's pretty expensive after a while. I changed to Maybeline Great Lash now because I watched some of the fashion shows and the makeup artists use those on the models too! It's cheap and I think it's quite nice in every aspects. But not sure if it would satisfy your needs though. Bonjour's ones are quite nice too but they clump after awhile.

I like Lancome's Flextencils. It isn't much for volume but lengthens well and no clumps. Everyone loves Maybelline's Great Lash and it seems to clump and be sticky for me. I must be weird. I will have to investigate Bonjour brand. A new brans I haven't tried! Whooo! Thanks for the suggestions.

Maybelline seems to make a lot of good mascaras. I never tried that one. I will look around when I go shopping. A cheaper mascara that works well would be great. I pay up to $25 for a tube and am still not happy. Maybe I just want it all and it isn't out there! Thanks for the reply.

I hear ya, I rarely wear makeup but I do wear mascara if anything else. My 2 favorites are: MAC Cosmetics X Mascara, I think they no longer sell it but you can buy it on eBay, here is a link for it. Believe me this stuff is awesome http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-MAC-Mascara-X-in-Black-X_W0QQitemZ320155434756QQihZ011QQcategoryZ72850QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Another good one is by Estee Lauder called LASH PRIMER PLUS with MORE THAN MASCARA. This is a two headed mascara with one end that has primer and the other end as the mascara, it is wonderful. Hope you enjoy!!

Why do they always discontinue the good stuff? I like MAC's cosmetics so I will check out that link or look for that mascara on the net. I don't think I ever used Estee Lauder's mascaras but I like primer and that one sounds good. I will try it. If I am not overwhelmed, it can join the zillions I have that I should toss out or give away. Hopefully one of the two you mentioned will make it to the "keep and buy more" bin. Thanks!

I have two in my make up bag that I use. (I alternate depending) Maybelline Extreme Volume XXL is decent, it's the two sided kind, one side is microfiber and the other side is mascara, I usually use it during the day. The other is Maybelline Lash Stylist. I absolutely love it but it does get clumpy, and it is hard to remove once it's on. I used it one night and fell asleep before I took it off and when I washed it off the next day I noticed some of my eyelashes fell out.

I used the XXL and wasn't thrilled with the white primer although it did a decent job otherwise. Oh, I hate when my lashes come out. I am so scared after I curled them and they broke right at the part where the curler was. Now I am very careful and don't do anything that could make them break. That was freaky! Thanks for the reply.

I use Rimmel Super Extra Lash mascara. It works really well, at least I think so, and it's affordable. I buy it at Walmart. I find the way to get the best results is to apply your mascara, let it dry, then use a clean lash or mascara brush to sperate and declump your lashes, then use a wet q-tip to remove the mess of masscara doing this will make around your eyes.

I just go with Avon. It accentuates the shine on my head I get from the ball cleaner at the bowling alley. :)

i use dior's blackout for myself and also for my brides. Most end up buying it. It's really good and has a great applicator which gets all the lashes. I myself have very thin short lashes but with the Blackout i get so much definition and volume. Hope i helped.
