Alvin and the Chipmunks on the big screen!

Unfortunately my computer is so old I can't upload the latest version of quicktime to watch them :( However, using other sources like youtube or yahoo movies I've seen the wonderful trailer for Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Has anyone else since this trailer? Anyone excited for this movie? I, personally, LOVE Alvin and the Chipmunks. It's one of my Christmas music staples, you just HAVE to listen to the Chipmunks Christmas album! Plus I'm also a huge fan of Jason Lee, who portrays Dave Seville. I appreciate the fact that the chipmunks are CGI in a live action world.
It's only a teaser trailer and even the synopsis on the website doesn't tell you much, but personally I'm pretty excited. What about you?

alvin and the chimpmunks,they were so great,i use to watch them all the timwe when i was young and never missed a episode,i just adored them so much and wish they would put some of the reruns on t.v. still,i would definatly sit there with my kids and watch them.i hope the movie turns out good too,because jason lee is cool and he does a great job,so i think its gonna be cool.i guess we will just have to wait and see,but i will definatly watch it,this was great your brought them up.the christmas albums are so great too.pattie

Ha ha. I know. I loved them. I'm just real sad that.. you know, what happened to cartoons!? Do you ever realize that EVERYTHING is CGI these days. They never do Cartoons anymore and I kinda miss the cartoon thing. I mean, I'm okay with the cgi chipmunks, but it could have been interesting with cartoons.
I hope it's good too. We'll keep our fingers crossed!

LMAO! While I was reading your post I kept thinking about how great it is that Jason Lee is Dave! Then I read the part about you being a fan of his LOL.
I think newer cartoons are a bit unnerving because of all the new cgi tech but I MUST see this one! Got to support Jason :)

Ha ha. yeah I seriously keep wondering what happened to the art of the cartoon? I mean seriously what was the last cartoon movie that came out in the theaters? The last one I can think of was Disney's brother bear... that was 2003. Everythings cgi these days. But I think it would work with chipmunks.
I'm glad to find another Jason Lee fan :)

Alvin and the Chipmunks looks horrible. I was a fan when i was a kid, but the Jason Lee thing and their new look..ugh

I'm ridicuously excited about the movie! I was obsessed with Alvin and the Chipmunks when I was litle. I used to have 2 of their Christmas albums, and I would listen to them all year long. It drove my family crazy. ha ha. I like Jason Lee too. He'll be a good Dave. We'll have to go on the same weekend and talk about it the next day.:P
