My Inspiration Board (U can make 1 too!)

So recently I started a discussion about LOA (the Law of Attraction) and also read a few and in a friend's discussion she mentioned having a board with pictures of the things you want. This is supposed to help you get those things by having them there visually in front of you to focus and concentrate on. Ever since coming accross the Law of Attraction I've felt so empowered, a lot happier and more relaxed and confident in my future. So being the craft lover that I am and having zero to do this weekend I made myself one, I made it into kinda like a collage/story with words too but I'm excited about it and it's on my wall now as well as my desktop wallpaper. Take a look at it...
So to make mine I decided on what my goal was: become a self-made millionare, open so businesses and become a woman mogul, have a big fancy house, have a big beach house, have a butler, go to Vegas and go on a cruise as well as have some pretty shinny things. Not asking for much right? LOL! I took a manila file folder and cut one part of it, then I took some scrap book paper in a pretty upscale wallpaper looking pattern and glued it on there. Then I cut so pretty antique gold paper and framed the board. I then pasted on various images and words from my fave magazines and done!

Yikes this is the second time I had to do this reply...lol...I had scanned one of my smaller vision boards to show off just one of them but I guess the image was too large so I had to redo the whole thing all over again...arrggh
Anyway, now if I can remember what I had said..
I have vision boards all over the place,..one over my bed at the head board area, the one I just scanned is one my one wall near my bed--Most of my vision boards are way too large for me to scan and I don't have film to photograph right now......then I have printed up copies of $1,000 bills and even the gold certificate $100,000 bill all over the place..I swear if someone came into my place and didn't know what the deal was they'd think I was daft...
This smaller vision board has images of the kind of homes I have envisioned for myself..there are a few..plus my ideal kitchen, bedroom, home office, garden area...in the center is a picture of my future husband..actor Viggo Mortensen..I sure as heck like the way he looks in Lord of The Rings...then I like the scruffy look..hehee
Unfortunately the board looks a bit weird as I have a plastic coating over it to protect it so it comes out crinkly looking as a scan...oh, well

Hehe--well I'm glad I inspired you...My birthday is coming up in November and maybe I should make ths a habit...one person who responded to my vision board discussion said they make a new one every New Year's Eve and another person said they do theirs on their birthday, so I was thinking...mmmmm....this isn't a bad idea...so my birthday is coming up in November so I'll make a new one then..and yes,they are not only fun to do but addictive...LOL

You did and thanks! That's a great idea, like a board for the things to come in your next year of life. My bday is in may :( but a New Year's one sounds closer, lol.

Thanks for sharing your board! Those homes look great. I got the idea from you in the first place so I've got to say a huge THANKS!!! It was such a fun project, I wasn't sure exactly what I was doing but I just went with whatever images spoke to me and then it kinda became more of a collage thinggy but I love how it turned out. I was thinking it would be fun to create one for the ideal boyfriend but then I realized that for me the ideal boyfriend is the one I've only got to see in my dreams and not have to deal or bother with in life, lol. I guess I could do a home one, a vacations one maybe? I'm addicted now, lol, see what you got started?

I read it somewhere awhile ago about making a dream board, basically it's the same as your inspiration board! I love the idea and I think it's fun to visualize and constantly remind yourself of what you want in life. I think I might do one when I have a bit of time but for now, I visualize what I want in my head *laughs*.
