Garage Door Openers

I have really had it with our garage door. Ever since we've go the thing there is always something going wrong. Either the dog chews up the sensitivity cords, or the remote doesn't work, or the wheels fall off the bar. It is a big pain. When it works i thank God that i don't have to get out of my vechicle to raise the door myself. Do you wish you could just take a hammer to your door opener and beat it up. I did that with some of these brass light fixtures we had in our house that we just bought. We replaced them with nickel fixtures. I hate brass anything. Anyway, i took them outside and gave them a few good wacks and there wasn't nothing left. What is your opinion of a stubborn garage door opener?
