My cat keeps unplugging my computer. What's she trying to say?

Whenever my little kid wants my attention, she will unplug my computer or cut off the screen. And, now my little cat has started doing the same thing. She will get under my computer table and walk past my cords tripping my connection. I am not sure if she knows what she is doing or not. But, maybe she does.
Do you think my kitty is trying to say something to me? Is this some type of cry for attention, too? And, how do I give her what she wants, without her resorting to unplugging my computer and interrupting my work online? Would appreciate suggestions.

...They make a plug cover that goes over the electrical outlet and the plugs. I used it when my children were very little. I was more concerned your cat didn't get a charge out of life.
...Watch what cats are doing before this happens. Are they signaling you somehow and you are missing it? Kids and cats always need attention. Do you spend some time with them before you get online? Can you get online during nap time? Or maybe take small breaks to spend a little time with them.
...Interesting behavior. Let us know how it turns out.
...Peace be with you. =(^;^)= Della

You are so right! For the most part, I have stopped spending time on the computer while my daughter is awake. But once a week, I will slip up and go online to check my email messages. And, then she catches me. LOL! She's growing up so fast, I don't want to miss a moment and have been doing better about being on the computer when she is not awake.
But, as far as the cats go. They are awake while my daughter is sleeping and they are with me during that time. And, considering that they are my little babies as well, perhaps they are craving some attention too. I had not considered that. I will try to give each one some time as well. Thanks for the advice.
