My mom is a housewife. I asways believed that they all work harder then us they are almost doing everything same everyday, cleaning houses cooking for dinner make the house shopping take care of kids and animals if there were, laundry, iron and other tones of stuff. And they are not being paid!!! It is not fair. :)

Hi there, of course i do agree, same to my mom. As for me, she is the superhero in our house and she's the best for me of course. I think, we should call our mom as SUPER MOM! as they are working 24hours a day 7days a week and no day off of being a mom. It's actually a lifetime service, lifetime obligation. And so, i salute my mom and all the moms in the world. they are having the very hard work in every human being could ever have. Have a nice day ahead from Kiko and happy posting and earning here and Godspeed.

I don't think housewives are superwomen. I think you, as a working mom, are a superwoman. You wake up and get your family ready for their day on top of getting yourself ready, you work 8 hours, you leave and continue taking care of your family. In my opnion, housewives are married women with no children. Stay at home moms have children. So i don't think housewives are at all super heroes, because there's really not that much cleaning to do around the house. With a child, there is more work, but I think being a housewife, or not having children but still staying home, is a bit lazy.

I know this discussion is 2 years old but I thought that I would respond to it anyway. I hope that someone else will respond so that we can get this discussion going again. In any case, I like the idea of being a housewife / stay at home mom. One responder said she or he doesn't feel that they are one in the same but I think they are. The person who started this discussion called herself a housewife but also made reference to giving her children a bath, meaning she is a mother as well. Whatever you call it, it's a super job, and if you can do it then I think it makes you a superwoman. What about you? Are you a housewife? Do you believe your a superwoman? I'm going to start a discussion of a lot of older discussions so that we can rejuvenate them, so come on!
