Best Baby Item: Baby Must Haves

A friend of mine is going to have her first baby in a couple of months and I'm trying to find a great baby gift. Not having any kids myself, I don't know what that item would be. What is the baby item(s) that you couldn't go without?

i am currently in my second pregnancy... there was a hole lot that i did not have with my first child that i will make sure that i have with these two.. must haves... swing, vibrating bouncy, snuggly, diaper genie, as for the other things clothes clothes clothes diapers and wipes you cannot ever have enough of any of those!! Id get a big basket and fill it with all the neccssities things that people expect for babies but not realize how many of them they would go throuhg

A swing! Baby will calm right down the minute he is put into that magical mobile and be asleep in a matter of minutes, giving mommy a few minutes to shower, or take a nap herself

I second that one! A swing was indispensable! Bouncy seats were great too. YOu can never go wrong with diapers and wipes. ;)

The swing sounds like a great idea, she'll probably like to have some time to herself. I never really thought about diapers and wipes but I suppose you go through like a million of them. Thanks for the great tips!

I think a baby monitor is a great item to have expecially if the baby is in another room, you can hear the baby when it stirs or cries sometimes just hearing the babie breathing is a comfort to the parents.
