Anyone have an opinion on digital movie cameras that also take stills?

How good a still photograh does a digital movie camera take? I assume that it would be no where near as good as a digital SLR or even just a good lesser expensive(than an SLR) digital camera. I'm talking about the combination digital movie cameras not a regular one and then one does a screen capture on the computer to get a picture. Anyone has any experiences good or bad with these? Thanks.
