Did you know that under the glass top desk of Gil Grissom is the picture of the series' executive producer, Jerry Bruckheimer? That all the equipment in the lab are fully functional, and that they were either purchased outright or donated/loaned to the show for product placement. That the name of William Peterson's character, Gil Grissom is supposed to be Gil Scheinbaum, but he changed it because of his administration to the astronaut, Gus Grissom. That Grissom and the rest of the group use the Nikon F5 for photographing the crime scene elements. But, in the 5th season, the group use different cameras. The choice to place this series in Las Vegas was not random. Among US crime labs, the Las Vegas is the second most active, surpassed only by the FBI lat at Quantico, Virginia. That the show was first offered to ABC, but was rejected because of fear that it is not suited and too confusing to the average viewers. Then acquired by CBS. That on July 2004, co-stars George Eads and Jorja Fox were fired by direct order by the CBS for breach of contract. The CBS said that the two were not showing up on shootings due to allegedly want of pay raise. However, they were rehired without a pay raise. Both denied having a pay raise dispute. George claimed that he overslep during the production and Jorja on the other hand said that she had not receive any letter of intent she reportedly failed to sign. There will be more trivia to follow.....

Very interesting trivia. Thanks for all the information. I love CSI. I'm hoping to have cable service before the new season starts. I know I better hurry.
