I was recently told that I my have Tuner's syndrome..... where my uterus is underdeveloped and my be the size of an eight year old girls. I am 33. I went in for a pap ti get on BC and the doc tells me that my cevix is the size of the end of my pinkie and should be the size of the end of my nose and that the opening is the size of a sewing needle. I have been pregnant but once and it was a miscarriage. The doc informs me that I will not likely care a pregnancy to full term. That my uterus is simply not big enough. What upsets me the most is. (Besides the fact that I have wanted to be a mom since I was old enough to carry a doll) why hasn't anyone mentioned this to me before? I will be the first to admit that I have not had a yearly pap, but this was not the first doctor to see my cervix. Did they all assume I knew???? What the heck? I will of-course get a second opinion and have tests run, but wouldn't this upset you?

I would be pretty surprised. Especially teh Dr who performed the D&C. He, of all people, should have noticed since he had to dig all up in there. It's very interesing, and yes, quite dissapointing to someone who really wants to raise a child, as I know you do.

Maybe he just shoved his instruments up there and didn't even notice.

Fissy mentioned that he may have thought that I knew, but damn I am like you surely he would have said that is WHY i miscarried. Maybe he didn't give a damn. I can tell you it was pure HELL, even the diolation and we only went to 3cm.

I think this would be upsetting to anyone. Another opinion would be a good idea. I'd also like to know more information, like why? what causes this to happen? Good luck and I'll say a prayer for you.

I came across your discussion but I also have a case of Turner's Syndrome but it was diagnosed when I was about 10 years old. I wasn't paying much attention back then but right now, I just got married last June and we're checking out our options as to how we can get pregnant. I really pray that things work out for you and you're able to get good doctors who can help.
