Does anyone have a family member in prison?

I was wondering if anyone else out there has a sibling in prison. My brother has been in prison for 19 years on a charge that he has maintained his innocence for the whole time. His only problem and the main reason for his conviction was he has a past record he did federal time and state time before when he was young. All his prior charges were drug related, the charge he's in there far is so far from his character that I just can't stand it.

i understand and can sympathize with you. my dad has been in prison a few times in his life, and he just got out about a month ago or something like that for embezzlement charges. i can agree with you that there are some things that are out of character, and that he would never do something like that, but the judicial system is there a reason, and that is to uphold the laws of our country and to punish the ones to break said laws. when i was younger i never believed that my dad could have stolen money from the IRS i thought he was innocent because he was "helping" people on their taxes. yea, you dont steal from the government even if it is to help the poor. thats what gets your butt in jail. then a year and a half ago, my dad did the same thing, though he stole it from people and not from the government. i believe that my dad is one of the smartest stupidest guys i ikno..and oxymoron i know but still, it's the way i feel.

Yes his appeals were exhausted a long time ago. He was basically railroaded because of his prior record. I have just Started a blog on another site if you would like to read it and hear more about his conviction. the url is http://hubpages.com/hub/My_brothers_dilemma.

Hi there. Well I hope everything works out for the better and I know what your going through... I too have had 2 brothers in a similar situation in the past, and its not funny, feeling helpless and knowing there characters, and what they've been accused of... All the best to your family... Have a good one...

Thank you for the support it is indeed heartbreaking and above all frustrating I am in the process of writing all of the Innocence projects here in Texas to try and get him some help. It's hard though because I get so upset.
