This quesion is easy. Jesus never mentioned religion. he mentioned churches and said the church was the people. two or more that gather in the name then he will be ther. The reality is religion is man made and if we went by Jesus there would not be christianity there would only be brethren(read all of matthew ch 23). Paul created religion of Jesus and the catholic church. He also coined the phrase "christian", which Jesus never spoke of. there are many contradictions in Pauls teachings which should lead us to believe that he is a great deceiver. If I give the vs mat 25:17-21 a christian will rebut with Pauls teachinging(Blaspemy!). The truth is Jesus picked up a rock and said here is God. He aslo said go and pray alone yet no one tends to follow this instruction. He said do not pray repetative prayers thinking God will hear your many words, yet the church does this every sunday or wedsday or whenever they have service. There is soo much to this but the answer is no you do not need religion you need wisdom and understanding of life and to go to god in secret to praise and pray.

I take it that you are "Christian"?? By the reasoning in your response you have assumed that everyone believes in the same "god" when in fact we do not; you have also assumed that we all have the same religious scripture, teaching and beliefs...we do not. Some people do not even believe that there is "A GOD" but simply a higher entity or energy, some believe that "god" is within us and that to find "god" we have only to look inside ourselves, some believe that there are many "gods", and still others believe many other differing things. Making the assumption that everyone believes in "Jesus" and "God" and reads and adheres to the teaching of the "Christian" "Bible" is simply posing your religion and beliefs as the ONLY religion and beliefs. That is not correct or just.

*sigh* I was not criticising you, nor am I some "rebellious kid" doing whatever it is that you said I am apparently doing. I was simply commenting on your post. I am not a follower of Christ, nor do I have anything against those that follow that path (in fact my partner is a follower). But the way that your post was written it took a very "follower of christ" type of stance and it just made me wonder if you actually wanted to write it that way or not. Anyway, I have nothing against you, and I apologise sincerely if I upset or angered you in any way. I was merely posing some queries and thought of my own in relation to what you had written. Light and laughter.

what is the way of praising the god else religion? if you praise god following no religion and if people except wht you believe in is another religion you are creating and tht is "praising the god without religion" if you really want to choose a religion -- the best way to choose is -- that look out for the religion who has the best teaching for the mankind, because mankind is the real praising to god.

God has not made any list as to who should subscribe to what relgion. It is the humanswho have made all divisions. Therefore, religion has nothing to do with respect to rendering prayers to the god and praise him.

I guess there are a few of ways to look at this question: 1. If you are praising "God", as in, the "God" that is a basis of Christian religion, then I guess that without really committing yourself to a specific form of Christianity, you are, actually committing yourself to Christianity as a whole. 2. If by "God", you mean some form of "almighty being" that may or may not have a specific name, then I guess that depending on your particular beliefs of what the "God" can in fact do would dictate a form of religion to you, be that Buddhism, Christianity, Scientology etc etc. 3. As for being able to pray and have a belief in "something" but not knowing quite what that something is yet, then I believe that, that is fine. You do not have to be part of a specific religion or go to a church or shrine to pray and to receive "guidance" and love from a higher entity. Afterall, "God" is everywhere; the higher essence is part of everything on this Earth.

I intend to ask this question pertaining to the Supreme Being.
