Did your parents ever joke around with you in the middle of church?

Let me start off by saying that my mother is very religious. And I"m not starting this discussion to discuss religion at all. With that said...there were always those Sundays where even my mom got bored. Maybe due to hearing the same thing over the years or just wasn't in a very church-like mood that day. She would sit and pester me!! She would sit and bump my arm with hers. Or, because our arms were folded, she would tickle me under my arms where no one could see. I remember one time in particular that I was trying not to laugh so hard that my face turned red and suddenly I felt like I was being watched....we both looked up front & saw the bishop staring at us.....it only made it worse because I felt like I got "caught."

Wow, so me and my mum aren't the only ones xD I don't think is bad (to some extent of course). There are these times when priest says something hilarious, or some old lady sings awfully near by and we love to talk s we comment on it:P i doesn't mean we're disrespectful to our faith

I agree. I think that its just like school...everyone gets worn out at times and needs to laugh. =)

My mom wouldn't, but my dad did. He told jokes, he'd make all these odd movements during the singing service, and he'd even embarrass some of the people sitting around him in the church. He also happened to be the pastor and he usually did all that from the pulpit.
