How will you commemorate September 11th?

I'm sure we can all remember waking up six years ago to find that American soil had been attacked. Are you doing anything today to remember those lost? I'll be working and going about my business, but it won't be far from my mind or my prayers.

I am not from the states, so we didn't really commermorate 911. But since every television channel was broadcasting one documentary or another, I spent a bit of time to watch those and reminded myself of the tragedies happened and reminded myself to treasure the people around me.

That's how I feel, life is short, so we have to make the most out of today.

I am remembering 9/11 by living my life as I would any other day. I was happy to see the flags flying at full staff, today. I think it's wonderful that we can live on while still remembering. I have to fly home to Canada next week, and I'm not afraid to fly. If we are afraid, or if we mourn over and over and over again, we will have let the terrorists win!!

It's true, being afraid only makes us victims. I went to work at capitalist Starbucks and was happy I still could go home to my family.
