A New Challenging Sector... Renewable Energy!!!

As a new and challenging energy sector, 'Renewable Energy' has been rising up forthe last few decades. But still it is at its infancy! Major coverage in today's energy sector is from thermal projects. For more utility and dependency on renewable energy, higher research and application is the most important topic of the day! We must see the day when every family bears its own power generating device that provides the most advanced and economic form of renewable energy at home. Shall not we think and act upon this in our tiny personal level? Please share your thoughts on this.

The corporations and governments of the world have demonstrated the unwavering ability to be more concerned about profit than the future of our planet. I agree that more research is needed and we need to take baby steps on our own. A friend showed me a radio he had bought that was not only solar powered but also had batteries AND a small built in generator with a hand crank. I thought, HOW COOL IS THAT AND WHY AREN'T THERE MANY MANY MORE PRODUCTS LIKE THIS!?! I bought a small flashlite with no batteries that are now readily available to the public that works on the induction principle using a fixed magnet passing through coils of wire and stores the energy in a capacitor. We need to search out more solutions like this.
