I regard norton antivirus as best antivirus software...To choose a right antivirus software to a system, we must know the system configuration you are currently using......like RAM, Processor Clock Speed,...According to the overall speed of your system we can suggest you a good antivirus program... like use norton antivirus if you have high configuration....else use AVG if ur system is not much fast...

well, i am computer hardware eng. and doing this business from last 6 years, and as my experience, if you want to totally free with virus. means if you really dont want any virus on your machine and also dont want any un-necessary pop-up than do this things. Install Norton Corporation Edition 10 and update it, and also install yahoo tool bar with yahoo anti spyware, and also update it regularly. after this you will never face virus.

the top 3 best paid antivirus softwares are: kaspersky, Bitdefender and NOD32 while two of the best free antivirus softwares are AVG Free and Avast. for me i personally recommend Bitdefender because it's very easy to use and very effctive at Identifying Viruses and Worms and cleaning or Isolating Infected Files.

We had the same problem with Macafee we got rid of it. We switched all of our computer to Avast you can use it for free and even renew it. Its great it updates its virus data base all the time and doesnt slow down your computer. I even put it on my mothers computer and she still has dial up but it still doesnt slow her system down. You can download avast for free at: http://www.avast.com

NOD32 is a very good antivirus. Whatever you do, I strongly recommend not to use AVG. It detects almost nothing.

the three best antivirus today are 1.Kaspersky, 2.Bitdefender, and 3.NOD32. i personally advice Kaspersky, it is a very strong antivirus, can also defend your pc against malwares at spywares and the best thing i like about kaspersky is that it does not eat a lot of your pc resources so it will not make your pc slow

I use Webroot for both anti-virus and anti-spyware. Be aware that system slowdowns are just as often caused by spyware as by viruses, so be sure that you are sweeping for that as well.

For me AVG is the best they can easily detect and cure the virus. You can download it through their sites and it's free.

Hello saisudhamani, For my computer I am using an ant-virus and anti-spyware software. I am using Avira Ant-vir Personal edition as my anti-virus software and Spyware Terminator for my anti-spyware software. I used both running at the same time on my computer and do regular scans and updates of their definition files. Both of them are freewares so you can download them up totally free. They have been working great for me and so far I have had no problems with my computer eversince I have installed them. :-)

Hi...I would suggest that you should try Kaspersky antivirus...It is one of the best antivirus softwares I have ever used...Just keep it updated...It disinfected or deleted all of the viruses in my computer which even Norton didn't delete... Good Luck.

Before, my desktop's antivirus was norton then became AVG. AVG is fine as long as you update it every now and then. Until a friend of mine introduced me to use Avast. So far, am fine with it. Try it..
