Having a big family or a small one is good?

I have a big family of 3 sisters and one brother. We are pretty close and we have a nice time when we get together.I have only one son.i feel bad about it when we enjoy as a family i think of him how he will miss all this.Do you think its good to have lots of brothers & sisters or better to be a singlr child?

i prefer not so big family. i think this will be based on the capacity of the parents on how they will support their children financially and emotionally as well. Here in our country there are lots of big families but unable to support their everyday needs. it's really disappointing to see them living on the streets with their children. And you will see their children get involved in the crime, snatching because of poverty. I really pity on them.
My family is not so big, we are 4, but i'm very thankful to have a responsible parents who really exerted so much effort to bring us to school until college. i feel so blessed as well to have a brother and sisters who became very supportive in every step of our way. It's really happy to have a big family but like what i said, if we can't afford to support our children, better have kids that we can afford to give better future.
I only have 1 child as of the moment and planning to have another next year. Me and my husband are planning it very well, because our main concern is our childs future.
Nowadays, we really need to be concious on money matters, because i think aside from emotional support we have to have financial stability as well in order to give our kids a better future. : )

Yes you sound very practical.In todays world we need to think of the financial part more than the emotional side.The only reason i went for one kid was this.sometimes i just ask myself have i been selfish? Will my son miss the support we have, but not in all families does this happen in most there is so much bitterness over sharing of property etc things are pretty materialistic.

i prefer to have a big family, but not so big..i have 4 brothers and 1 sis...we grew up togerther, played together, we really had a memories to lived with...i'm a family man now...with 3 kids, when i saw them playing together, i remembered our childhood..sharing luaghters and tears...enjoing moments...a GOD fearing family.

Hi,
I hope it is the relationship one keeps. Those getting adjusted with others, those like companships, like there someone to share with so on those cooperation, all liked people may opt for large family. Were as privacy is more in small families. It depends those situations one is brought up. I do like a large family if all members are well behaved and more cooperative. May be some go for small as to avoid quarrells and other bad issues. Any it depends how a person can get along with others.
