Peer 2 Peer; How safe the way to share files with complete strangers?

uTorrent, BitTorrent, Azureus, LimeWire,etc. I want to know your opinion about the safety to file sharing in the internet. I did download using a P2P once and it caused me to reformat my whole pc because it was infected with virus. Why there are people out there wants to send a file with hidden virus? But I still using my uTorrent, though. Just I have to be careful the next time I downloading files

I also download files with p2p. It didnt caused me any problem beacuse I know the types of files that may contains virus. YOu just need to be aware about luccrative things that offers you more than you expect. Only proper pre-caution can save your pc. Try to use a good antivirus. It will give you the pleasure to resolve your affected pc without formattimg it.

I hav used Bittorrent as well as utorrent. n believe me, i never got any virus in it..
Basically they r safe.
But i dont know bout Azureus. (never Used).
LimeWire is not safe according to me. Whenever i download anything from here, it many times has virus or it is affected by virus.
Hope u got expected thing.

utorrent is a client . it depends on the tracker you download from . Most torrent trackers are safe , especially private ones . As long as you have an antivirus , an antispyware and a firewall and you're not downloading from networks like kazaa , ares youre safe . The demonoid tracker is the best . I've downloaded over 100GB of data from them and everything is safe .No virus found .

I use utorrent it is pretty safe as with all of them you just have to scan the files before you install them. Limewire does have a lot of virus in their Programs so i stay away from that i just use it for music.
I Use Demonoid for most of my downloads.
