hello my fellow mylotters i received this information from a friend who is working in wellness industry. I would like to share it with you for additional knowledge. Did you know that French fries is hazardous to our health? well i haven't knew about it before. oh i was glad my friend shared me what he had learned. OK here it is, Why French Fries become hazardous. Its because potatoes are grown in the ground & have a higher pesticide absorption level than almost any other food product. Fries re cooked at higher temperature which cause the chemical acrylimide to be released. acrylimides are known cancer causing agent that causes nerve damage & brain tumor and potatoes when consumed in there raw state are rapidly converted to glucose that rises insulin levels because of it's simple sugar. When cooked in high temperatures like french fries, they produce large amounts of free radicals in the body causing aging, clotting, inflammation, cancer, weight gain. One french fries is worse that one cigarette. I'm only sharing this for knowledge not for the intention of ruining business or whatever. I myself cant believe when i hear about it but my friend said that the fact is proven or back up by doctors. What can you say about it my fellow mylotters? can you share your opinion or thoughts?

that's right, monicazhang. these fastfood will never do good to our body. we can just imagine all the things that they have introduced to the plant potato so it will bear big rootcrops. they have also devised fruit bearing potato vines. now, they place so much fertilizers and chemicals in the soil which they are not contented of. the cultivators will also spray fertilizers and chemicals unto the plant. this will ensure the growers that the resulting root crops shall be big ones which are free of potato blight.

yes, cheenlly. what you are sharing with us here is all so true. acutally, the foods that we can obtain from fast food chains are all practically junk foods. this is because,t hese foods that they are offering are all of no nutritive value anymore. they can do more harm and damage to our health and bodies rather than do good unto it. this has been tolerated now because, people do not listen to health buffs. people prefer to have the comfort of having nice tasting food anytime that they desire to partake of some. you know about dealing away with the hassles of preparing those health foods? preparing home cooked foods is no easy thing to do. it starts with planning the menu, marketing, cooking, etc., etc., etc.

Wow friend!! It is really a suprise to me too. Eventhough am not a french, but I would have come across it someday and what makes ke nervouse the most is the fact that you included potatoes. Does it mean that eating potatoes (sweet or irish) is not good for our health? most especially the friend ones which are prepared under high temperature. I will be delighted if you will comment more on potatoes. Thanks so much for this discussion. Do have a nice day.

They are also usually fried in trans-fatty oils. The worst of ALL the fats - there is NOTHING positive about trans fat. it's a straight ticket to obesity, cholesterol problems and heart trouble. Don't eat them! Thanks for sharing. I dropped french fries YEARS ago, but sometimes I eat baked style potatoes grown in my own garden (no pesticides for me!)
