I hate when people do this!! Why do they chew gum in the first place? Why don't they spit it into a garbage can on their way into a restaurant? Last week my husband and I went to Denny's for dinner (actually it was just after our wedding) and someone had left a giant wad of gum under the table. YUCK!!

because they are really lazy. they wont go out to go find a bin to throw it, or wrap it in a tissue. it could have a little streak of wickedness in it too.lol.

The old saying "do unto others as you would have done to yourself"is true for an example like this.:)

Some people are just gross. Someone on here has already mentioned that it isn't just kids. I've seen adults do it too. This one time a woman about the age of 33 did it at a booth in a diner across from where I was sitting. I gave her a dirty look because that is gross and rude. She said "what is yer f*ckin' problem?"
I looked at her and said "don't you know it is rude gross and disgusting to take your gum out of your mouth and stick it to a table?" Then I offered her a napkin. She just looked at me and told me to mind my own f*ckin' business. She had gotten quite loud. The owner of the place who I knew came over and in a quiet tone asked me what had happened and I told him. He gave her 2 options either scrape the gum off the table and put it in the garbage or pay for the cleaning of the table which he said was going to cost her an additional $10.00 to her bill. She only paid for her food and got up and left.
What really got me to notice all the gum was I have a 5 year old son. About a year ago he used to like to slide under the table and move from my side to the other side of the booth. This one time I stayed under the table. I asked him what he was doing and he replied "nothing" so yeah, I knew he was doing SOMETHING! I looked down there and he had someone's old wade of gum that he had dug off the underside of the table and he was playing with it. I almost hurled. So needless to say he is not allowed to crawl under the table anymore.

it's not only in the restaurant but all over the place. hehehe... :) The explanation i could find is that you don't need to do an effort to throw it in the garbage, you can stick that on things that they don't get notice. Hehehe :)
