Do you think that gorillias really understand sign language? The news has recently reported this fact , that is believed to be true.Tell me what you think, I for one think that they do..

Absolutely. It is very common for gorrillas, chimps and many other "high apes" to learn rather large vocabularies of sign language. And not just learn the signs but a genuine comprehention of it as a language. This has been going on I believe since the early 70's.

I think its great that the apes are able to do that . You think they have better sign lanusge than humans?

Humans have a higher capacity for it than the apes, but it is still astounding what they are able to comprehend. One gorrilla in particular from what I heard, actualy had a vocabulary of over 600 signs.

There have been many dedicated people that have been above and beyond the call of duty to recognize these traits, even a few killed for there dedication. But also have done intense research regarding this subject. I commend all those who gave there life, so that we could learn more.

I have seen several documentaries about this and I believe it to be true, they have a limited vocabularly but can do it nevertheless

Why not? They teach little monkeys to do all kinds of things every day in schools all around the world!
