Shaken baby syndrome. It IS a serious problem.

It's scary to think how many babies are injured and/or killed by caretakers or parents who shake them. It's so true that a fussing baby can work on one's patience, but I just can't imagine how anyone would even dream of shaking an infant. Put the baby down in the crib or other safe place, walk away, breathe, call a friend, family member or neighbor, and get break. We know that sometimes toddlers or young children get on our nerves but we tend to forget that a small baby could have that power. All moms and dads and other caretakers should do their best to set up a support system, to get help when needed. It isn't easy to do for sure, but no one would want a child like this to be hurt if it can be avoided, I hope. Please watch the following video: http://www.youtube.com/v/5rYyWw8Nhug and if you are a praying soul, pray for this and other families who suffer because of shaken baby syndrome.

I cannot for the life of me watch the video. I just don’t want to see the sadness. I agree shaken baby syndrome is a HUGE problem. I can honestly say- I never once wanted to shake my daughter when she was a baby. I had a great support system set up though. New parents need this so badly. I love your tips- Walk away, make sure the baby is safe- take deep breaths- there are many things to do--

I can totally understand how you feel. I am very sensitive also, but in a case like this I tend to get more angry than sad.

I have watched the full movie and i know that there is only one thing which can do such a miracle and is the almighty god. But after watching the movie i was got worried for my child. While she has no such problem but the face of the child in the movie is same as my baby. However, it is true that all children's faces look like same.

I wouldn't worry just because the children's faces are similar. Personally I find all children's faces, even infants, pretty unique. I don't know how anyone can say they all look the same.
