Do you give money to strangers?

If someone on the street asked you for money do you give it to them? I don't. I'd rather buy them food if they are homeless. Once in front of a McDonalds some man asked me for a dollar. I said I didn't have it. I wanted to tell him hey I don't have a job myself so I can't spare anything. I thought about it afterwards and thought maybe if someone asks me again I'd go by a double cheeseburger for a $1. I don't care what they do with the money I just don't like strangers asking me for money.

I don't give them money either, I would give them food. But where I live there are not many beggars. And to be honest I can use the money myself

I also don't like giving money to strangers. I think everybody should gain money by their efforts.
