Yes, ultrasounds can tell a lady the wrong gender. It all depends how experienced the person doing it is and which position the baby is in. I have heard of a lady told she was having a baby girl then everyone bought pink things for her. On the day of the baby's birth she had a boy. I know a lady on pregnancy website that had 2 boys and so wanted her third to be a girl. She had another boy. She is planning another pregnancy. This time she hoped she will have a girl. I know you will love your baby whatever the gender but I can understand your disappointment.

I can understand why you want to have a boy. I have two boys and would dearly like to have a girl.

I'm sorry to hear that. We also have 2 girls and with my third pregnancy we wanted a boy. The doctors told us it was a boy and they were right. They said that they usually don't tell you unless they are sure what you are having. I'm very sorry you are disappointed, but atleast you will have a healthy baby. You could always go for baby number 4. I do understand how you feel. With my second pregnancy we were hoping for a boy and thought that is what we might get. I was a little disappointed to hear we were having another girl. I wish you luck with your new baby.

That why the 3D Ultrasound has been invented. With the 3D Ultrasound system it can detect what the old Ultrasound machines couldn't.

hmm.. I don't know from which country you are. But its also sad that you are sad knowuing that your unborn child is a girl. In our country its banned to check the gender of unborn child. Still people practice sometimes and kill the girl children Pls consider its a god gift and nothing to be sad. Would you have been happy with a very unruly boy than a very good caring girl? Pls be happy.

No, you should never go off the ultrasound, they are not very accurate....A lot of my friends found out the hard way....

Yeah, it happens to certain people. Including my aunt when all the way she carried her child , she thought it was a girl since that's what the doctor told her but then it was a boy.. Anyway, it's somewhat the hospitals' fault why ultrasounds can be mistaken since some aren't using the latest/modern machines to test pregnancy and stuff that is why some doctors make mistakes. But don't be disappointed but rather be thankful that you have a new born. I just wish your child will be healthy. :) Best of luck

I don't know ANYONE who has relied 100% on what the sonographer has said - if i remember, they do tell you from the moment they check for a 'gender' - WE CANT BE 100% POSITIVE - so with that, you shouldn't have gotten your hopes up about having a boy. Also, with 2 girls, then chances of having a boy would probably have been lesser anyway, the gender of the baby relies soley on the genes of the your Husband/BF/Partner - if he has given you 2 girls already, then chances are you'd be having a 3rd girl! Sorry you were so disappointed but you should always take those results with a grain of salt because they do tell you there's no way they can be 100% accurate.

Yes I have heard of lots of cases even my doctor got it wrong with his last baby he said it was a girl (they had 3 boys at home) and when it was born it was a boy so when parents ask him I you sure its .... he always sais no. I know you must feel disapointed but dont kids a presuse trust me just hope for a healthy baby thats what matters. My son has a minor disability do you think I care much for his gender?
