AMD is not a bad processor. It is good for home PC and Office PC but not similar to INTEL. Intel processor should be original Intel not Intel celeron. I have used AMD and INTEL but the work we do in home and small office cannot guess that which is speedy both brand work nicely. I think for huge gaming, huge graphics and large programming good processor need otherwise AMD or Intel no problem to us.

Older AMD are slightly better but a lot cheaper and that's the difference for common users;)

The general consensus is that AMD makes better CPUs than Intel.

amd processors are great for games and office but the latest proccessor from intel , intel core 2 quad core is way faster than any amd processor . I'm not using it , i'm only using a pentium 4 northwood but Intel is better right now .

I'm a AMD fan too:P Since I remember they were at least as good as Intel but a lot cheaper. However I've read that when it comes to 2 or 4 cores proccesors Intel beat AMD:/ I'm talking about the newest things, though. I hapy with my "lame"one core Athlon xD
