Drawing Real Manga

Did you know that in Japanese high school there is an elective class to draw manga? There is a very specific way to draw it correctly.

No, but now that I've read this, I think it is possible, the country being known to have a culture like that and all... I wish I joined a club at school or even at college that did something similar like this... Hmmm, if I end up to be teacher and be an adivser of a club, I'd willingly volunteer as an adviser of the art club but slowly turn it into an anime or manga or video game or everything that I mentioned club... similar with Genshiken, I guess ^_^;

Of course there is. Schools over there teach a whole variety of things or they have clubs for them. Mean while deaducation in the states still continues -_-

well, that i didn't know... but that's really nice and i would actually lie to take up that class because i really like drawing especially manga's but i haven't have any luck! LOL

Is there? I don't know... Manga style can be so diverse I don't think they can teach it all:P But of course, there's the whole thing to know about proportions and law of phusics and shading that you need to know if you want to draw properly. But that's in everykind of drawing. I suppose they teach how to plan a page, too?
