Would you go boating in the rain?

boats riding out a rainstorm - Many boats were moored out in the bay in St. Augustine. No one was doing much sailing in the rain.

Most of the boats in the bay at St. Augustine were moored. I didn't see any sailing during in the rain. There wasn't much wind, though. Would you go riding in a boat if it was just raining with no storm involved? I guess it would be risky, because you never know when thunder and lightning might start.

no, i don't like boating at all. because when i am in the boat in the river, then i will be very nervous, and sometimes i will have a bad headache, and throw up what i ate. it is a bad memory, so i don't go boating at all, since then. i like walking in the rain. you can smell the earth. it is fresh and it seems that i was reborn.

Sounds like you get boat sickness. That would certainly make boating a bad experience! Thanks for the reply.

I wouldn't go boating in the rain because I have learned from my experience. My dad and mom took me years ago to a lake, and rented a boat. It was overcast, but we didn't think it would rain. But it did. We were on the lake and the rain just poured down, with no lightning or thunder. I didn't know I wasn't the only one worried. My dad told me later, despite how calm he was, he was concerned. The visibility was horrendous. So I wouldn't do it again. LOL

I have been on a boat in the rain, too. It wasn't too bad in the river, but I wouldn't want to be far from the shore! I can get scary!
