Is it a negative thing If you don't get onsite oppor. after 3 years also in IT?

Lets you are in IT field for 3 years as software enginweer.
You are also recruited in MNC.
Still you don't get onsite.
Is it taken as anegative point when you try for job in another company.
Pls share.

I wouldn't think it is negative. I had a situation where I worked in IT but didn't have my MCSE (back in 2000 when that was the certification everyone HAD to have) but I did all the work as the IT guys but I was a facility manager girl.
After I left that company I tried to get into an IT field based on my knowledge and actually got a good recommendation by the IT manager of my old employer even though I didn't technically work in his department.
No one should ever blame you for trying to upgrade.
