Everyone dreads bills coming through the door, but have you ever had any nightmare bills or really really expensive bills out of the blue? I had a few problems with my feet and as I exercise a great deal at the gym decided to get my feet checked out at the local chiropodist. The full treatment was £36 but he said I needed special insoles to help my feet and after the 30 minute consultation and examination of my feet I had a bill of £73! It's like OUCH! I didn't see that coming. I didn't realize chiropodists were so expensive Have you gone anywhere and had unexpected bills and didn't realize that you had spent sooo much?

My tooth broke the other week so I had the pleasure of visiting the dentist. They were happy to inform me I was not NHS registered so I would have to pay private charges. I opted for a white filling....£175....I could not believe it. I found out she charged me £20 for 2 xrays which she didn't even do. To make it worse she did such a bad job..it is really rough and she didn't even build the tooth back up, so every time I run my tongue over it, I can feel the sharpness and end up making my tongue sore. I have not had the courage to go back yet but I know I have to as I feel the filling will come out very soon. No wonder dentists live in big houses and drive fancy cars when they rob us blind. I am going to look for another dentist once I have gotten this fixed. A job with teeth or feet definately pays well!!

Wow - well honey we have had many nightmare bills! The last one was less than a year ago when our water tank started leaking and our tumble dryer broke at the same time! I know a good, trustworth plumber and when they came to fix the water tank they discovered that a tank we should have had in the attic wasn't there and we had to get that done too! That was a Very Expensive time for us when we had no money to spare! xxx

Yes, usually by the Dentist, you go in there with one price tag what you come out with is double ... did the Doctor ask you before he performed the treatment that it was going to be extra .. probably just a scam to try and get more money

How about bills that aren’t that bad but way more than I expected- If so then yes- I took my daughter to the dentist for a cleaning- I have always had insurance prior to this appointment- something happened at work and I dropped dental. They did the cleaning- and I told them prior we had no insurance- I said no to x-rays until I picked insurance up again- So she had cleaning and fluoride- and the bill was $82- I almost crapped- I mean I had the cash- but I figured $50 ish- Also we went to a bracelet party last weekend- They said it as cheap- you make the bracelets- my daughter was picking out charms- and when we were done the lady said that will be $37- OUCH- I had just bought a lot of gifts for her birthday- I wasn’t expecting this much for a charm bracelet- and it wasn’t even full!

I find all my really expensive unexpected money goes to car repair. I have found that it's always something. Whenever I save some money....boom....something breaks. You know, every post I have had lately...life is kinda stinky right now....SIGH

Oh, wolfie, I do know what you are talking about. I have had this happen to me quite a few times. I wage a constant battle in trying to keep my checkbook balanced, my credit cards under the limit, etc. I am a natural born shopper, and that is where I often get into trouble. I keep the faith, though, because it usually all works out in the end, LOL.
