Would you take a pill that will allow you to live indefinitely?

Say science develops a pill that stopped ageing, would you take it? The pill would allow you to live with the capabilities of a 30 year old for as long as you wished. You could stop taking the pill if you ever became bored of life and wanted to die. All of your family and friends could take the pill too. Would you take it? And if such a treatment (probably not in a pill form) ever did become available, do you think it should be banned or permitted?

It is tempting, to be honest. Well, I guess I would take it. I mean, c'mon, why wouldn't I? If all my loved ones could stay alive as well, then why not? I see no reason why it should be banned should it become available.

i think they should invent something to stop desease or to stop sickness rather than a pill that would have the capabilities to live as long as you want. well if ever there is something like that i bet that would be soooooooo expensive that only the rich ones can afford to drink. if ever there is i would let my mom drink it, for atleast she can still see my kids grow up. she is old already, 75 years old and always telling my kids that sooner or later it is her time to go... and that makes my children really lonely. so i will let my mom drink that pill.

Yes, I would take it, although I'd probably leave it till I was 40 or 50 because it would probably have side effects - all pills have negative side effects. Even if we stayed healthy and never grew old, we would all still die eventually of an accident such as falling down the stairs or a plane crash - this is according to the mathematical laws of probability.
