'PDA' stands for 'public diplay affection'.I thought its quite common in western countries before and people from Asia are relatively shy.But now it seems that things are different. We can see people hug and kiss almost everywhere. What do you think?

I am kinda bothered with 'PDA', but that may be just because I don't have a relationship and it's frustrating for me to see love all around me when I'm not getting any. If I'd have a relationship, I think it wouldn't bother me at all, so it's not fair of me to judge others for publicly displaying their affection.

Growing up in a more conservative country, PDA isn't that very well-tolerated. But things have changed and more and more people are becoming more open-minded about these things. I've seen some people who were publicly affectionate with each other. They were hugging and giving small kisses to each other. That was ok for me. They even looked kind of cute. BUT, I've seen a couple once who were obviously have forgotten that they were in a public place. Now, for this kind of couples, their PDA is surely a little less tolerated because it embarasses the person who sees them doing it.

It sure is a western influence, I think people nowadays (young and old) are too liberated when it comes to those issues. I noticed that they know how to play things cool, that also most of the times they know their limitations. This depends of the person's mind-set, if they know their bounderies then they will live a happy life. I have no problem with people hugging and kissing in public, as long as they don't disturb or cause any malicious acts..

I thin its depends of what they are doing. For one i had this couple in my class and them where at it all day long. I cant even call it kissing anymore its more like they were eating each other. Slooowly. It was making me sick. I mean i know that ur in or something and want to show it but be a little discreat in front of other people. I dont mind a kiss here and a kiss the and a hug here and a hug there but it has to stay reasonable.

I like PDA. Actually I have one for myself. Since I have a smartphone, so I seldom use it because its battery runs out faster.

Yup, I do mind, especially if they are done in the presence of kids and young people...they give the wrong signal, and are poor role models. No wonder kids as early as 11 or 12 already do a PDA...whenever we see students doing it in campus, we call the duo's attention as they could even be offensive to people around. Just recently, two college students were seen doing torrid kissing in one of the study areas in a secluded place in campus. Parents who saw them reported the incident; thereafter, we placed an appropriate sign to discourage dating in campus, and it worked. Aside from the above reasons, our school is ran by a religious congregation and it would be a mockery to its mission if PDA's are tolerated in campus. Even sexy clothes are considered inappropriate in an institution of higher learning...so PDA's are a No, no...

yes, i agree with you..there are some who are really doing kissing and hugging everywhere..i think it's fine to do pda but not that really acting that they are the only one on that place..if they want so much romance they can go to a private place where there's no people looking at them..they acting over in the public and i'm so annoyed with that kind of act..
