Give me the suggestion:if i shoud go to attend the banquet

All family of my friend will move to the new house. Before they move in,they have the banquet and invite me. Now i am indecisive if i should attend or not. The friend is a boy who is one of my admirer.He is a good guy,humor and good at take care of people. But as you known,love is fair.You should like the people who like you.Or i don't think both you will be happy. I know my feelings.so i did not give the chance to this guy. For the banquet this weekend,i see it does not mean anything if i attend.If we have to say,then we are friends. Maybe i feel a little embarrass. Just give me some sugestion if i should attend or not?
