Do you read parenting books?

I have an older version of What to expect the First Year and What to expect The Toddler Years. My sister gave them to me. I found them somewhat helpful. But I usually just go online if there is something I want to look up.

I have those too. I actually bought them at a thrift store for $2. I'm not even pregnant, but my husband and I are trying. I have subscriptions to 3 different parenting magazines and I'm on all kinds of parenting websites. With the Internet, you almost don't need to even look at books or magazines. You can look at whole issues online anyway. I guess I just like having them for reference.:)

I have both of those books as well. I got them, along with What to Expect When You're Expecting, free through a program on base. I got them all when I was pregnant.
I sometimes look through them, and I read them all the way through while I was pregnant. Usually I just go online, too, if I want to look up something specific. Or I call the pediatrician, depending on what it is.

When my son was small, my wife and I used to buy books of this kind for guidance. It really helps a lot when you have a child to bring up. We didn't have Internection in the nineties, so we could only buy parenting books.
