A Scorpion Just Called Across My Barefoot!

I was sitting here typing, and I felt something on my foot. I figured it was maybe my pant leg or some animal fur...something. I shuck my foot a little and looked under the computer desk...it was a scorpion! Oh! My heart stopped lol. I am so lucky that little guy didn't hold on and sting me! I don't think my parents would appreciate being woke up at 1:30 in the morning lol.
So I caught him and put him outside. Now he won't be bothering me anymore! lol.

Lucky you didn't just use your other foot to 'rub' the spot without looking! We don't really get scorpions here much, but I would be worried about some of our spiders crawling on me! I'd probably kill it though, then it wouldn't get another chance to walk on me!

Oh yuck! When I read your first sentence I cringed! lol. That would have been awful. Not only would I have gotten stung, but I would have killed that little guy and had his guts all over me! Ick!

Wow, be careful! This is part of why I wear clothing even and shoes often when I get the feeling to. Sure I don't have to worry about scorpions, but one never knows. Its the same with wasps and hornets. I get those a lot and mosquitoes and its great having thicker clothing and respect of the creatures, less bites/less sting.

Ek I don't like wasps and hornets either. But I don't have to deal with those much. But we're alwyas finding scorpions in the house! lol. Thankfully none of us have ever been stung. I def. show respect for them when I catch them. I just hate wearing shoes when I don't have to! =P lol.

I'm glad it didn't sting you. That was good of you not to kill it. I'm not so sure I would have done the same thing.

Eww. creepy. You didn't kill it, but I wonder how a person could kill it. I'd think if the shoe's sole wasn't thick enough, the stinger could go right through. And if a person tried to flush it, I think they would, or frankly I would, have nightmares all night about scorpions coming up from the toilet.

No I didn't kill it hehe :) I can't kill things. I was barefoot, so there would be no sole to help me even if I wanted to hehe. And I def. wouldn't want to flush it if it were alive, poor thing would be terrified! lol. *Uh oh, I'm worried about a scorpions feelings.* So I just caught it and let it outside.

Oh no lol. I don't pick ticks off animals =P My mom does. I just help keep the dog still. My mom flushes them down the toilet...and that's okay because they give me the creeps...I just can't do it.

No. I think he was grateful I didn't kill him. lol. He ran into the bushes in my front yard, maybe he'll stay there and stay out of the house now!

Nop, no nightmares about it. We've caught so many in our house we're all used to it by now. And we let them all go..so maybe they like us ;P lol. If he would have come back that would have been creepy...like a stalker scorpion! lol.
