What do you dislike most about rain?

Dressing for the rain - It can be so uncomfortable

My first thought is always that it's so gloomy when it's raining out and I definitely don't like that. It's not so bad when we have a sun shower because at least it's bright and doesn't usually last very long. Then, if I have to go out in it I hate getting wet...especially my feet!! I hate the uncomfortable feeling of wet shoes and socks. It's even more uncomfortable now in the fall because sometimes when it rains it gets humid so even though you need to wear something to keep yourself dry it can get very uncomfortable. What is it that you dislike most about the rain? How do you dress when you have to go out in it?

Other peoples Driving. hands down. Apparently when it's raining people think "OMG I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN" and instead of driving the 30 to 45 mph speed limit on regular roads and 55 - 65 on highways... people drive 20mph or below...EVERYWHERE. It ticks me off. When it's drizzling there's no need to slow down THAT Much! Now, if it's pouring down so badly that you can't see what's ahead of you? OK! I can see slowing down for that. But drizzles? you know the kind that doesn't even require you to use windshield wipers... Go the regular speed you idiots! And... coming in a VERY close second for an honorable mention is people who don't use their LIGHTS when it's daytime and raining. I know in my state it is a law and I'm pretty sure it's a law most everywhere else in the states too...if your windshield wipers are on your lights must be on too. Whether it's day or night. my biggest pet peeve is of course when I see cops, who are supposed to uphold the law, with their windshield wipers on and NO LIGHTS!

Definitely! I remember when I used to drive and hated when I had to deal with people who don't know how to drive in the rain. I live in Boston and when I was in San Diego I found those drivers to be the worse than the drivers here.

I love the rain, mainly because where I live, we really need the rain. I don't like getting wet in the rain though. I could sit at the window for hours (if I had the time) and watch the rain.

I like to watch the rain falling into big puddles when we're having a good rain storm.

ya, for me, it depends on my mood in rainy day. I mean, if i am happy these days, it does not matter to be a rainy day or a sunshine day. Even, I might rush into rain to feel that kind of cool feeling. But if I am a little sad, rain is only to get my mood worse. In some poems, rain just represents saddness. In that kind of rainy days, I don't wanna go anywhere, just staying at home, watching TV or having all day long sleeping. I am living in a city where there are many rainy days in summer. and sometimes, rainy days might last several weeks. So, I always try to keep a good mood when the rainy season is coming so that I would not feel bad during that so long wet days. have a great day! have a great day!

I give you a lot of credit for being able to be in a good mood when there's a lot of rain. I know I couldn't do it!

Right now any rain at all in our area is a blessing, So at this point let it rain. But when we are not in a drought condition, I hate the mudd and mess the dog and kids make coming in and out of the house. I am always yelling take off your shoes!

Oh yes, I hate the mud and dirt that ends up in the house when and after the rain. It's too messy for me.

I always enjoy the rain, ctry, unless it is cold and miserable outside. I also could do without the thunder and lightning that usually accompanies the rain. I do think that you can rest better than at any other time when there is a gentle rain falling. I look upon rain as a renewing and freshening up of the earth and all things in nature. After a nice rain things appear to be fresh and clean and new.

But in general rain just make me feel depressive. And how I dress?Definitely I got something dark, because the white pants will turn black really quick.

I really don't mind sun showers because they are usually over very fast. It's those real rain storms that I don't like at all.

I love rainy season and also rain, but I don't like the muds it creates and floodings. Our country or shuld I say, Government lack fundings to create a flood control projects. So most of the times, the city is flooded and clogged drainage overflows. The health risk this flood causes are harmful, with deadly dieases due to "Leptospirosis" coming from rat's pee that is flowing within the water.

Some people do love to just listen to the rain but when it comes to the aftermath of a rainy season I don't think it's worth it.

The only time I dislike the rain is when it comes down hard and I get all soaked. That is the only time I don't like it. If it is just drizzling and lightly raining, then I like walking in the rain and even exercising. I did that the other day and it was very refreshing.

I do like it when it is raining especially if I'm just going to stay at home. What I don't like about it is if it is raining real hard because our area is easily flooded, it is really tough especially when I have to go somewhere. There were times that I have to go through the flood just to be able to go at work. It is really stressful because I need to bring extra shoes and my work clothes.

What I dislike most about the rain is the difficulty of going home. It is rainy season in my country (Philippines) and I really dislike the rain because it's very hard for me not to get wet when I go home after classes. The public transportation is a few blocks away from school and I have no choice but to walk/ran with the rain pouring all over my head! But it's partly my fault since I don't bring any umbrella even though I am expecting that it will rain here. But i still dislike when it rains if I have classes.

lol...I haven't noticed the worms since I was little but you are right there. Your also right that there is never just the right amount of rain...usually it's just too much for me.

I actually don't mind the rain to be truthful. As long as I'm not in it though. lol. I hate it though when my pants and shoes get wet. I usually try to avoid going out if I can when it rains.

I dislike rain when it turns into sleet, hail, or ice. Icy roads from the temperature changes are not always seen when you're driving. You try to put on your breaks and you skid not realizing there was any ice. there. If I have to go out into rain for very long, I can come back in and change clothes. If I'm just going to my car, I don't worry about it. If the weather is supposed to go cold, I wear layers. Take care

Hi Ctrymuzklvr, in this I am just like you - hate it because it's gloomy, and gray outside. I hate too getting wet, as means getting quickly ill for me at least. So I avoid to have to go out when it rains. If I really have to I pull my rain clothes on, thatare not my favorites, or just an unbrella to get to my car, depending where and how I am going to, with the car or without. In any case - The Netherlands has too much rain every year and I'd rather relocate to a country (island) like tenerife where there is almost no rain on the South side of the island
